- This episode stipulates that the display in the cafeteria of the Silo is a lie; instead, what lies outside of the Silo is a lucious greenland habitable by humans.
- This is eventually revealed to be false.[1]
- Billings finds the book Juliette previously got from George, and becomes aware that he knows very little of life before the Silo. Consequently, his personality and dedication to the Silo seems to quiver, as he burns the book rather than turning it in to Judicial—this is a direct violation of the Pact.
- Bernard is seen to be in the possession of a small pendant that glows. The pendant is enscribed with the number "18". Coincidentally, this is the same number as inscribed on the hard drive Juliette holds in her possession.
