Operation Fifty is a clandestine authority tasked with keeping the Silo populations oblivious to the past in order to ensure a rise to greatness for this population at some undetermined point in the future. Operation Fifty is based at, and operates, out of Silo-1.
The name 'Operation Fifty' is derived from the fact that there are 50 Silos. Operation Fifty has the authority to eradicate an entire Silo should they rise up against, and overthrow, the IT Department of a Silo or if they breach the airlock; this is known as "resetting". Operation Fifty communicates and monitors the other Silo's through the head of the IT Department, and only is the head of IT aware of what is truly going on and the need to keep the population of the Silo's under control.
